2012年11月6日，美国内布拉斯加林肯大学校长帕尔曼教授、法学院院长波泽教授等一行四人来我院进行访问。西安交通大学城市学院院长陈光德教授、党委书记赵金胜副教授、艺术设计系主任解安宁教授及党政服务中心负责人热情接待了贵宾。
上午9点30分，学院领导在贵宾室与林肯大学来访团进行了亲切友好的会谈。会上，陈光德院长对帕尔曼校长的第三次来访表示热烈欢迎，他简要介绍了目前学院在招生就业、校园建设、合作交流等方面取得的新进展，认为目前我院与林肯大学开展的双学位合作交流项目深受学生和家长的欢迎，希望双方共同努力将这个项目办得更好。帕尔曼校长对我院所做的各项工作表示衷心的感谢，他指出目前已有百余名城院学子在在林肯大学学习，他们不仅成绩优异、整体综合素质也非常优秀。他坚信在过去5年的密切合作与交流的基础上，两校的合作会更加长远、取得更大的成功。与此同时，双方互赠礼品，我院艺术设计系主任解安宁教授为其送上自己创作的极具中国特色的中国字画。
随后，帕尔曼校长和波泽院长在2号教学楼报告厅为我院学生做了主题为美国总统大选的讲座。两位法学教授详细介绍了美国的总统选举制度、选举流程、竞选两个党派政策、竞选辩论话题、历任总统背景介绍等一系列专业而又生动有趣的西方文化知识。整场讲座内容丰富精彩，图文并茂，博得全场热烈掌声。特别值得一提的是，因为报告会当天正是美国大选投票的日子，所以在互动提问环节中，学生们踊跃提问，与两位教授就候选人竞选政策、竞选流程细节、竞选资金与候选人关系、大选结果对中国的影响等话题深入探讨交流。中美项目办学生也积极提问，询问了赴林肯大学留学的相关问题。
此次林肯大学帕尔曼校长一行对城市学院及学生给予高度评价，无论是学院的热情款待还是学生的优良素质无不感染着他们，双方纷纷坚信两校的合作定会取得更大成功。
Chancellor Perlman of UNL visited XJTUCC
4 faculties of UNL, including Chancellor of UNL Perlman, Professor Poser, and the Law School President visited CC on November 6, 2012. President Chen Guangde, Party Committee Secretary Zhao Jinsheng, Dean of the Department of Art and Design Xie Anning and the head of party and government service center gave them a warm reception.
Two sides had a friendly talk at 9:30am in the VIP room. During the meeting, President Chen showed his warm welcome to Chancellor Perlman’s third visit to CC, and briefed him on CC’s new progress on enrollment, employment, campus building and cooperation. President Chen also talked about the popularity of the XJTUCC-UNL PDP Program among students and parents. He hoped that joint efforts of both sides would be made to make the program better. Chancellor Perlman expressed his heartfelt thanks, he pointed out that there had been over a hundred CC students studying at UNL, who were outstanding and well-rounded. He believed that on the basis of close exchanges in the past five years, the cooperation between the two sides would achieve greater success. At the same time, the two sides exchanged gifts. Dean of the Department of Art and Design Xie anning send his own creation of Chinese calligraphy and painting to UNL.
Then, Perlman and Poser gave a lecture on U.S. presidential election at the lecture hall to our students. They talked about a series of professional and interesting western knowledge, including presidential election system, election process, election policies of the two parties, the campaign debate and the background of the former presidents, which won warm applause.
What particularly worthed mentioning was that the lecture was held on the voting day, so students actively asked questions at the interactive Q&A session. They had in-depth exchanges with two professors on candidate policy, election process details, campaign finance and the impact of the outcome of the election. PDP students asked questions related to going to UNL.
UNL spoke highly of CC and the students; they were all infected with the warm reception, as well as the superior quality of the students. Both sides were convinced that the cooperation of the two schools will be more successful.
