10月20日，中美项目进行了迎新活动，为所有大一项目学生举办了一场别开生面的城墙趣味运动会。内布拉斯加林肯大学Wilson教授、Sohi教授以及中美项目所有工作人员参加了该次活动。

城墙运动会于下午两点与南门正式开幕，Wilson教授在活动前的动员讲话拉开了活动序幕。运动会共设四个参赛项目：“速度与激情”（慢骑自行车）、“回到童年”（踢毽子）、“搬运工”（勺子搬运乒乓球）和“风雨同舟”（两人三足）。

大一项目新生均积极参加了各项活动，活动期间大家显示出了团队合作精神，坚持不放弃的优秀品质，和同学之间的和睦感情。部分大二项目学生担任运动会裁判员，使得运动会得以顺利进行。

整个活动持续约三个小时，期间中美办教师与同学们进行交流，提供了绝好的口语练习机会，让同学们受益匪浅。

活动最后，中美办教师向各项目优胜学生颁奖，活动在同学们的掌声和笑声中宣告结束。

In order to welcome the freshmen to join the XJTUCC-UNL Partner Development Program, the PDP office held a fun sports meeting on the City Wall on October 20. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Sohi from UNL participated in the event.

Dr. Wilson’s cheer marked the prelude to the game around 2:00 pm at the South Gate. There are total 4 sessions to the game: “The Fast and The Furious” (Slow cycling); “Back to Childhood” (Hacky sack kicking); “Transporter” (Transporting Ping Pong balls with a spoon); and “Comrades-in-Arms” (3-legged race).

All freshmen enjoyed the games, during which they showed team work spirit, persistence and harmonious relationship. Some sophomores acted as judges and ensured a smooth completion of the entire process.

The whole event lasted for 3 hours. Students kept nice conversations with all the teachers, which contributed to their language improvement.

Finally, the teachers gave awards to the students who won the games. Everyone enjoyed themselves in the game.
