2012年6月8号上午，中美办为10级和11级秋季即将前往内布拉斯加林肯大学的学生举行了一场意义非凡的欢送会。中美办Mariah, 外教Suzy, Ron和刚刚从林肯大学毕业的李浩铭都参加了欢送会，与20多个项目学生们度过了一个愉快的上午。
活动开始，Mariah简短的介绍了西安交通大学城市学院和内布拉斯加林肯大学合作办学的概况，并通过照片的形式向同学们展示了两年里他们一起在中美项目办经历的美好时光。紧接着，李浩铭又把自己第一手在林肯的学习生活经验介绍给大家，同学们兴致勃勃的听取了很多意见和建议。接着同学们把自己精心准备的礼物送给了他们最喜欢的外教Ron，Ron在毫不知情的情况下被同学们的惊喜感动了。陈院长也亲临活动现场为同学们加油鼓励并一一与同学们合照并把此次活动推向了高潮，还向同学们颁发了证书以肯定这两年来的努力。在活动的最后，老师和同学们在学院餐厅一起就餐并亲切交流，此次活动也在欢声笑语终告一段落。
On June 8, 2012, PDP a Farewell Ceremony was held in honor of the students who will go to UNL this August. Mariah Schuemann, Suzy Prenger, Ron Bowlin, and Haoming Li had a wonderful time with these 20 successful PDP students.
To start, Mariah explained the history of the PDP program and showed many pictures of memorable experiences current program students have shared together. Next, Haoming Li shared his life and study experience at UNL with the students. They were interested in what he suggested. As a special surprise, students presented Ron with a painting done by a student of the XJTUCC Art Department. At the noon, President Chen joined the ceremony to send each student a certificate in order to energize and encourage them. Each student shook President Chen's hand and took a picture with him. At last, the students gathered together for a celebratory lunch and had conversations about what their lives will be like once they arrive at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall.
